Melody Hendrickson is an award-winning creative and Department Public Information Officer II for the Riverside County Executive Office. She shapes stories and strategies that capture the heart of one of California’s most vibrant regions, collaborating with more than 40 departments, executives, and community leaders to deliver public communications that truly resonate with Riverside County’s 2.5 million residents.
Her communications journey includes meaningful work with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and the Fire Department, where she led campaigns and digital projects designed to build trust and connection within the community.
Melody is passionate about crafting messages with clarity, warmth, and authenticity - whether for large campaigns or everyday outreach. Holding a B.A. in Communications from Azusa Pacific University, she brings creativity and heart to every story she tells, always striving to reflect the diverse voices of her community.
Throughout her career, Melody has been honored with awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Pacific Southwest Chapter) Emmys, California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO), Public Relations Society of America – Inland Empire (PRSA-IE), the Telly Awards, California State Association of Counties (CSAC), and was named the 2025 Scott Summerfield Communicator of the Year.
