Mike Lyster serves as chief communications officer for the city of Anaheim, one of California's largest cities with 350,000 residents, 25 million yearly visitors and 20,000 businesses. He joined as chief communications officer in 2015. Before coming to Anaheim, Lyster served as vice president of corporate communications for the Irvine Company, one of the nation's largest real estate developers and owners. He started his career as a journalist, including serving for more than a decade as editor of the Orange County Business Journal.
