Since 2016, Abby Broyles has served as Public Information Officer for Garden Grove Unified School District, one of California's largest school districts, serving more than 36,000 students across 67 schools. With more than 20 years of communications experience focused on education, government, and media relations, she specializes in strategic communications, community engagement, and helping organizations navigate complex communication challenges. Known for her collaborative approach and commitment to transparency, Abby works closely with district leaders, employees, families, and the media to build trust and strengthen community connections. Prior to joining GGUSD, she held communications leadership positions in Illinois school districts and served as press secretary for a member of Congress and communications analyst for state legislative leaders. She began her career in journalism as a newspaper editor and reporter.
