Keith Sterling began his tenure as Deputy City Manager for the City of Beverly Hills in January 2023. He leads the implementation of Mayoral and City Council initiatives; oversees City Communications, Marketing & Economic Sustainability; and liaises with the City Clerk in preparation of reports for City Council meetings.

Sterling joined the City of Beverly Hills in 2018 as Public Information Manager before being promoted to Chief Communications Officer in 2021. Prior to his time in Beverly Hills, Sterling led communications for Anaheim Elementary School District, the University of Utah, the City of Burbank, and the City of Broken Arrow in Oklahoma. From 1996-2003, he worked as a news anchor and reporter for several television stations across the country.

Sterling has received many accolades throughout his career, including a Los Angeles Area Emmy Award. He has been honored by the Public Relations Society of America and the California School Public Relations Association.

A native of Long Island, he is a graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in New York.
