Carlos Eliason is a public information officer for the City of Sacramento’s Department of Utilities, which provides drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services. Carlos started his government career in college as a Media and Communications intern for the City’s department of transportation, and quickly made a name for himself offering creative services to the department. After graduating with a degree in photography from California State University, Sacramento, he became a creative specialist for the City at large, managing their brand and creating content to tell the City’s story. Now as a PIO, he blends communications and marketing expertise with a creative eye, which helps him build public trust and interest as he creates stories for the City’s Department of Utilities.
