Getting Back to Basics, Engaging with Your Community In-Person
Description
In the midst of an overwhelming focus on digital engagement as a result of the pandemic, we must not forget best practices for in-person engagement. As we get comfortable in the post-pandemic era, we need to find a balance between digital and in-person engagement, and ensure the latter is also a priority. What are the basics of face- to- face engagement? How can it be done mindfully and creatively? What is the role of emotional intelligence in all of this? This session will bring us back to the basics of in-person public engagement, analyze the pros and cons in a post-pandemic era, and provide creative ideas for engaging with your community beyond the digital.
