Pamela Van Halsema is a Communications Specialist for Sonoma Water and Sonoma County’s groundwater sustainability agencies, focusing on digital media, outreach and community engagement. Previously, she served as Community Programs Director for After the Fire, a nonprofit aiding wildfire recovery across multiple states. After losing her home in the 2017 Sonoma County wildfires, she helped rebuild her community as a volunteer leader with Coffey Strong. Pamela also has two decades of experience in public education, museums and libraries, including many years at Sonoma State University in the School of Education and as a faculty member in the Social Media Certificate Program. She holds a Library Information Science Master’s Degree from San Jose State University.
