Sami Kader, P.E. is a civil engineer with a BSCE from UC Davis and MSCE from the University of Washington and 30 years of subsequent experience as a consulting engineer. He is one of the founders of Water Works Engineers, an engineering consulting firm with offices throughout the western U.S. specializing in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure projects. Over his career he has led multidisciplinary teams in the planning and design of hundreds of projects and seen hundreds of millions of dollars of utility infrastructure through from conception to construction and operation. Since 2019, he has led Water Works Engineers team in providing Program Management and Project Management and Engineering support to Paradise Irrigation District in the Camp Fire Recovery project, working to define and execute the testing, strategic replacement, and return of the water distribution system infrastructure to full service in conjunction with the recovery of the community of Paradise following the Camp Fire. This included significant public interaction at every step of the process, from the initial testing and definition of contamination to the distribution system through coordination of infrastructure replacement with home rebuilding and permitting all the way to public interaction in mainline replacement projects. He lives in Redding, CA with his family, spending most of his free time involved in youth soccer as a coach, league administrator and fan.
