Ryan Alsop is the County Executive Officer (CEO) of Napa County, overseeing daily operations and implementing policies set by the Board of Supervisors. With over 15 years in executive county government roles across California, he brings extensive experience in public administration.
Before joining Napa County, he served as Chief Administrative Officer for Kern County and Assistant CEO for Los Angeles County. He also held leadership roles at Long Beach Water and in state and federal government, including as Director of External Affairs for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and as a legislative aide and lobbyist in Washington, D.C.
Ryan holds a Master of Public Policy from American University and a bachelor’s degree from CSU Bakersfield. He and his wife, Melissa, have three grown children and live in Napa with their son.
