Speaker Bio
Megan Gosch is a communications and public engagement professional with more than 20 years of experience leading strategic outreach, branding, and information campaigns that strengthen public trust and connect residents to services. In her role as Program Manager (Management Analyst) with the County of San Mateo’s Office of Community Affairs, she leads inclusive, data-informed, multilingual communications across digital, social, print, video, radio, and in-person channels, advising internal teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and culturally appropriate.

Megan is recognized for rapid, high-stakes public outreach—recently developing and launching, in three weeks, a tri-lingual (English, Spanish, and Chinese) campaign supporting the County’s public process to appoint a new sheriff, generating more than 1.2 million digital impressions, nearly 400 resident-submitted questions, and over 800 attendees across Board meetings and a candidate forum. She also helped lead San Mateo County’s achievement as the first county in the nation designated a Certified Welcoming Place, coordinating extensive cross-sector collaboration and documentation to meet rigorous evaluation indicators.

She holds an M.S. in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Geography from CSU Chico. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three sons.
