Jonathan Horn is a Community Relations Manager at the City of Carlsbad. Before working in government communication, Jon spent about 15 years as a journalist in San Diego, most of that time reporting for the city's ABC affiliate station. At ABC-10News, he covered politics, the economy and general news. Jon began his journalism career in print, the majority of those years reporting for the San Diego Union-Tribune. In addition to his work at the City of Carlsbad, Jon teaches journalism and PR at San Diego Mesa College. Jon recently published a book, “One City, One Shot: How I Made it in TV News Without Uprooting My Life.” He holds a master's degree in journalism from the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and lives in San Diego County with his wife Jackie and son, Benny.
