Jennie Hwang Loft has managed communications for the City of San José Environmental Services Department (ESD) for the last ten years.
ESD administers award-winning utility services including solid waste collection, drinking water/recycled water, wastewater treatment; and leads sustainability initiatives including a climate action plan. Jennie works with a terrific communications team to realize ESD’s mission.
Jennie has over 20 years of public sector communications experience. She has a BA from San José State University and an MPA from San Francisco State University. Jennie was lucky to have participated in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University.
Jennie lives in Half Moon Bay with her husband and their two teenagers. She’s a photographer. For fun, she’s a total foodie, reads voraciously, and goes to concerts with her daughter.
