Kevin Strauss is a Communications Specialist with the City of Santa Clarita. In his five-plus years in Santa Clarita, Kevin has served as the communications lead for the City’s Recreation and Community Services and Public Works Departments, as well as public safety campaigns and emergency response. In addition to marketing and branding initiatives for the City’s marquee events and community center programs, he helped design and implement the award-winning “Heads Up!” traffic safety campaign. In 2020, the City of Santa Clarita’s communications division received the Frank Potter Cowan Crisis Communications Leader award from CAPIO for their work during the Tick Fire and Saugus High School Shooting. Prior to joining the City, Kevin was responsible for media relations, fan engagement and marketing at Cal State Northridge Athletics for six years.
