Kristina Perrigoue, Public Information Officer for the City of Irvine, has served in a variety of communication and outreach capacities. With nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofits and local government, she has extensive experience in crisis communication, public relations, strategic planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Kristina began her career in public health with the Oregon Child Development Center – a Head Start program – and spent over seven years with the California Poison Control System based out of University of California, San Francisco. In these roles, she worked with some of the most diverse communities on the West Coast, and developed and executed tailored communication, education, and behavior change campaigns. Finding her passion in communications, she pivoted to the public information arena. In this capacity, she has served in progressive positions with Orange County Fire Authority, Anaheim Police Department, the County of Orange, and now the City of Irvine. Kristina holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Anthropology, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Montana, and a Master of Public Health from Portland State University. Kristina and her husband reside in South Orange County with their three daughters and two dogs. Her hobbies include aviation, travel, and culturally rich experiences – many of which exist in the diverse and inclusive City of Irvine.
