Mary Jerejian is a Management Analyst with the City Manager’s Office at the City of South Pasadena, California. One of her key roles as an Analyst in the City Manager’s Office is taking lead on many of the City’s communications and engagement efforts. This includes managing all social media accounts, developing newsletters, updating the City’s website, creating content, and leading the City’s Interdepartmental Communications and Engagement Team.
Mary has been with the City of South Pasadena for little over a year, but has made strides in increasing the role of social media in connecting the community to City Hall. She has helped increase 1,500 followers on the City’s Instagram page, over 5,000 new subscriptions to the City’s newsletter, activated the City’s TikTok and Twitter accounts, developed the City’s branding guidelines, and helped launched various social media campaigns that highlight local businesses and City staff. She is excited to continue improving communications in the City, and is proud to have a community like CAPIO to learn from as she grows in this field.
Mary holds her Masters in Public Administration from Cal State Northridge and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Cal State Northridge. She was also recently recognized by the City of South Pasadena for an “Excellence in Innovation” award for her work in launching the City’s mobile app: SouthPas Mobile, and won a scholarship for the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Annual Conference that took place in 2022.
