Brooke Federico is the director of communications for the County of Riverside, where on any given Tuesday she handles complex media inquiries, responds to emergencies, and strategizes how to explain to her mother – and her two children – why local government is actually very cool.
Brooke has worked for the County of Riverside since August 2016. She directed and executed strenuous public information efforts during COVID-19, which led being named CAPIO Crisis Communicator of the Year for 2021. Before joining the County of Riverside, Brooke worked in public information for the County of Orange for more than 10 years.
She has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in communications from Cal State University, Fullerton. Go, Titans! She loves to travel, sink her toes in the sand and play never-ending games of tag with her kids.
