Megan Barnes is a public information officer for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, a coastal community in the South Bay of Los Angeles County. Prior to joining the City in 2019, she was a reporter for the Daily Breeze and Long Beach Press-Telegram, covering local government, features, crime, courts and breaking news. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Art History from UC Santa Barbara. She enjoys learning about local history and is a board member of the San Pedro Heritage Museum, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique history and culture of her hometown.
