David Wert has been San Bernardino County’s Public Information Officer since November 1999. His responsibilities include:
• Serving as a liaison between the county and the news media.
• Advising county officials on communications with the public, county employees and the news media.
• Providing the public, county employees and the news media with information about the county.
Before joining the San Bernardino County, David was a reporter covering county government and politics for the Riverside-based Press-Enterprise and City Editor and government/politics reporter for the Ontario-based Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
David studied journalism and political science at California State University, Long Beach.
