Jennifer currently works in the City of Long Beach’s Office of Public Affairs and Communications supporting day-to-day media relations strategies and tactics on behalf of the City Manager’s Office and various departments. She’s worked in several Joint Information Centers for a variety of emergencies, most notably during the COVID-19 pandemic and the City’s homelessness crisis and network security incident, serving as the lead media relations staff member for multiple incidents.

She previously served as a Public Information Officer for the Long Beach Police Department where she responded to officer involved shootings, mass casualty incidents and other public safety incidents. Prior to joining the City of Long Beach in 2019, Jennifer previously worked for the Disneyland Resort’s Public Affairs and Communications Department for nearly a decade.

Jennifer holds a Journalism degree from California State University, Long Beach, and has completed various courses within the CalOES Specialized Training Institute.
