Information must be gathered, vetted, and produced in a manner that reflects the evolving needs of an incident. Whether a pandemic, cybersecurity incident, or other type of emergency, information both internally and externally is a key component to successfully managing the incident while maintaining public trust. As communicators, when all eyes are on us, the power of the JIC helps us achieve successful outcomes. The City of Long Beach has activated our Joint Information Center on numerous occasions.
