Ivonne is a Senior Public Affairs Representative in the External Affairs Group at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. She plays an integral role in advancing organizational priorities by ensuring communities are informed, engaged, and treated as true partners.
A key contributor to the Pure Water Southern California program, Ivonne organizes facility tours, including Spanish-language tours she personally leads, and works closely with community-based organizations to expand program awareness. Her efforts include co-planning initiatives such as Pure Water bike rides and bilingual workshops on Pure Water Southern California, significantly expanding engagement with Spanish-speaking audiences.
Ivonne’s Spanish-language outreach exemplifies her high standards for clarity, accuracy, and cultural relevance. Through thoughtful communication and trusted partnerships, she has helped strengthen relationships with Spanish-speaking communities and advance long-term support for regional water initiatives.
Ivonne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University). She has served as Executive Secretary of the Hispanic Employees Association and is an active member of the California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO).
