Stefanie Patten holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Film/Video Production with honors and brings more than a decade of professional experience in visual media, storytelling, and strategic communication. She began her career in television news as a video editor, shaping stories in fast-paced newsroom environments for over 10 years. Alongside her newsroom work, Stefanie built a freelance graphic design portfolio that includes artwork showcased by the Austin Film Festival for their “A Conversation with Ted Tally” event—honoring the screenwriter of The Silence of the Lambs.

Stefanie has served the City of Roseville for more than five years, beginning in the Public Affairs and Communications Department, where she produced videos across all departments, managed live City Council and commission meeting broadcasts, and strengthened public engagement through strategic messaging and visual content. She now works within Roseville’s Environmental Utilities as a Marketing and Communications Analyst, specializing in strategic messaging, videography, and visual storytelling. Her work supports public information, capital improvement projects, education campaigns, and internal culture-building.

She also integrates aerial videography and photography into government storytelling, providing unique perspectives that enhance public outreach, emergency response communications, and documentation of major utility initiatives. Her skills as a photographer and editor have helped elevate the City’s brand, highlighting community events, environmental stewardship, and infrastructure investment through compelling visuals and narrative-driven media.

Stefanie is passionate about empowering public agencies to use video more creatively and effectively, helping audiences connect with complex subjects through clarity, authenticity, and strong visual design.
