Jon Walsh is a Digital Content Analyst for the City of Roseville with over 20 years of experience in visual communications. A storyteller at heart, Jon focuses on transforming complex public information into clear, engaging stories that foster trust and transparency within the community.

At the City of Roseville, Jon oversees a small but mighty production team alongside two other communicators and produces internal and public-facing video content across multiple departments and platforms, including the City’s award-winning monthly What’s Happening in Roseville production. His work spans the full production lifecycle, from concept development and directing to lighting, camera operation, audio capture, editing, and post-production. He also serves as a technical director for City Council and commission meetings, as well as for livestreamed public events.

Prior to joining the City, Jon spent a decade with the California Highway Patrol as a Television Specialist, producing public service announcements, documentaries, and training videos for statewide audiences. His professional background also includes broadcast operations and studio management, with previous roles with Comcast Spotlight, the Sacramento Kings, and SeaWorld San Diego.

Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Television, Film, and New Media from San Diego State University. His work has been recognized with multiple honors, including Emmy Awards, numerous CAPIO STAR and EPIC awards, PRSA Influence Awards, and Certificates of Commendation from the California Highway Patrol for excellence in documentary and public safety storytelling.
