Sonya Severo is the Public Relations and Legislative Affairs Manager for the City of Modesto. She oversees the development of internal and external communications strategies to support Modesto's Strategic Plan. She also oversees state and federal legislative issues that impact the City of Modesto. Sonya has over 15 years of public relations and community relations experience for the City of Modesto and Stanislaus County and Emergency Medical Services in Merced County. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and a second bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in communications from Adams State University in Colorado.
