Augie Blancas is a public information officer for the California High-Speed Rail Authority and is proud to be part of the nation’s first high-speed rail project since 2019. His role has taken him from behind the desk to behind the camera, capturing and telling the stories happening at the more than 35 active construction sites in the Central Valley through a variety of mediums.
Before high-speed rail, Blancas served as the Marketing & Communications Director for a Fresno-based social justice organization. He also served as the volunteer Communications Director for the Fresno Reel Pride LGBTQ Film Festival for more than seven years.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications and Journalism with an emphasis in advertising.
