Chad McCollum is a recovering television news director, who spent 20 years in broadcasting before transitioning to the public sector in March of 2019. Throughout his tv career, Chad worked as a news producer, executive producer, assistant news director, and news director at stations across California including KSBY, KUSI, KCBS/KCAL, KGPE and KSEE. While not seeking a career change, Chad seized an opportunity which became available in his adopted hometown of Clovis, California to join the city as the Public Affairs and Information Manager. In November 2022, Chad was promoted to Economic Development, Housing and Communications Director. Chad is a graduate of Brigham Young University, serves on the board of the local PEG channel, and is slowly, ever so slowly, working on his APR.
